Incredibly Intricate Paper Art by Lobulo Design.

March 21, 2013 by capture-monger

Blooming from Western E.U. culture centers London & Barcelona; Lobulo Design is as high-class & meticulous as they come.   With highly precise manipulation of scalpels and substrates, the outfit churns out masterpieces in the craft of Paper-art.  ‘The making of’ video (from Lobulo Design’s Vimeo account) for the Darth Vader Idol piece gives some insight into the process and hyper-accuracy of Lobulo’s slicing.  The Don Quixote totem triplet of the skull on bottom, the Don central, and the horse on […]

Ridiculously Outrageous Fashion IDIOCY

March 19, 2013 by capture-monger

While we’re on the topic of ‘Tight Pants’ and fashion hilarity, we should view some of modern day’s high fashion and consider how outrageous it is.  There are few things more evil in this world than high fashion, Dick Cheney being one of them.  Maybe at some point I’ll attempt a simple Photoshop job with Dick Cheney in some of this high fashion garb (maybe the smiling picture Eric gave me ;} ). FASHION BASHIN’ !!

Stellar Disarray by Adam Ferris

March 15, 2013 by capture-monger

Seemingly from a cheesy low-production glitch, the work of Adam Ferris is in a state of wonderful digital disarray.  Taking images of universal scenes and morphing them in a pixelated way, his images are thought provoking and intriguing. ASTRAL CATASTROPHE. disarray

Super Virus Petri Dish Art by Klari Reis

March 14, 2013 by capture-monger

Exploring new materials and mediums is what the evolution of art depends on.  Klari Reis is one such artist / scientist that is blazing trails with her experimentation with plastic-epoxy polymer.  Tinting the polymer herself and using petri dishes as a substrate, Reis manipulates the epoxy into delightfully abstract small scale works that make viewers question what in the hell is going on. DON’T WORRY, IT’S NOT A SUPER VIRUS!

Be Thankful for what You’ve Got (Remix).

March 14, 2013 by capture-monger

Massive Attack, a trip-hop group based out of England, somewhere along the line did a slight re-edit of William DeVaughn’s “Be Thankful For What You’ve Got” to great effect.  With just the right amount of scratching and drum beats added, this song is a BEAUT. DIAMOND IN THE BACK, SUNROOF TOP, DIGGIN’ THE SCENE WITH A GANGSTER LEAN!!
