Just came across the work of Matthew Day Jackson recently, and holy guacamole- he’s got some serious craft and conceptual action going on. In his exhibition entitled “Everything Leads to Another”, Jackson delves into issues of human potential, history, and the future. One of the most impressive pieces of this exhibit, is the reworked cockpit of a B-29 Bomber (the same “Superfortress” model that dropped the atomic bomb) into a Kubrick-esque office. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like he’s got a personal site, but by clicking on his name above, you can go to his artist’s page at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery site.
