Silky Skulls by Damien Hirst

You may know Damian Hirst from some of his more outré work such as ‘For The Love of God’ (his diamond encrusted *actual* human skull), or other pieces in which he submerges animals in tanks of formaldehyde- but his latest collaboration is much more tame.  Working in the medium of silk scarfs with renowned clothier Alexander Mcqueen, Hirst employs a less edgy macabre style, and balances it all out with butterflies and flowers.  At just under $1200, these scarves are solely for the upper tier art lover.  BONUS!: Peep the sweet video of billowing silk in slow-mo below the gallery!
