With Scandinavia’s long winter nights, it seems very fitting that Finland serve as the home of some of the world’s best Light Painters. Hannu Huhtamo, Jukka Laine, and Janne Parviainen make up the Light Painting artist group Valopaja, a Finnish word that translates as ‘Light Workshop’.  The Valopaja have played a role in developing specialty computer software for creating light paintings through selective light sensitivity recording….just watch the video below the gallery.  The Light Paintings below are all visions from Hannu Huhtamo – his wispy floral figures seem to represent spirits and supernatural entities.  If you like any of the work in the gallery, you can purchase prints for a very reasonable price at this site HERE.
