Water Forms caught by Markus Reugels.

November 27, 2012 by capture-monger

Using the same infrared triggers as Alan Sailer’s Hi-Speed Photos of bullets and explosions (check the recent post on Sailer’s work HERE),  Markus Reugels (website) captures collisions and contortions of water with magical quality (video of his process!).  Viewing these photos raises questions about how much detail the human eye misses at it’s relatively slow processing rate.  Seemingly mimicking fireworks, globes, flowers, and atomic mushroom clouds, these photos boggle the mind, and challenge conceptions of perception. COMMENCE BOGGLING.

Explosions, Bullets, & High Speed Photography.

November 26, 2012 by capture-monger

Alan Sailer has an insatiable appetite for capturing moments of impact (or explosion) with everyday objects.  Using an Infrared beam as a trigger, his strobes and camera fire at a precisely calculated delay after projectiles pass through the beam.  Sailer’s High-Speed Photography is awe-inspiring. BEAUTIFUL DESTRUCTION.
