Magnetized Liquid + Water Colors = Macro Abstract Art
After discovering the wondrous interaction of magnets upon ferrofluids and seeing the micro-sculptures created by Sachiko Kodma, the swiss photographer Fabian Oefner began to experiment with the medium himself. Adding water color via a surgical syringe to a bubble of magnetized ferrofluid, Oefner creates extraordinary bubbles of complexly cordoned color. MORE FERROFLUID MAGIC TO COME! Conceptual Art by Myeongbeom Kim
Originally from South Korea, Myeongbeom Kim studied Environmental Sculpture at the University of Seoul, and went on to receive her Masters of Fine Art at The Art institute of Chicago. HIGHLY conceptual, Myeongbeom’s work seems to revolve around the transitory nature of things, and investigates the changing role of the natural world relative to man’s progress? Either way it’s some really well executed art! CONTEMPLATE.
