Easily one of the most interesting concepts for a project/blog the internet has seen for some time, the faux blog of Scarfolk township is disturbingly hysterical. Posing as a council of a small town perpetually caught in the 1970’s, the site churns out propaganda-ish material that imitates the style of literature and posters from the infamous decade. Skimmin through AnotherMag’s site, I came upon this classic photo of Gerald Ford hanging out with an incredibly suave lookin Pele. With impeccable soccer form, Gerald Ford shows how much grace the average American had back in the day – not too mention fashion sense. This photo then also helped to recall a very humorous SNL sketch of Dana Carvey impersonating Tom Brokaw and discussing plausible causes of death for Gerald Ford (he was delicious).
