Exploring new materials and mediums is what the evolution of art depends on. Klari Reis is one such artist / scientist that is blazing trails with her experimentation with plastic-epoxy polymer. Tinting the polymer herself and using petri dishes as a substrate, Reis manipulates the epoxy into delightfully abstract small scale works that make viewers question what in the hell is going on. DON’T WORRY, IT’S NOT A SUPER VIRUS!
Fabian Oefner is becoming a living legend through his execution of groundbreaking experimentation with hi-speed & macro photography . His latest project entitled ‘Black Hole’, is a beautiful capturing of paint being spun off of a drill bit. As if part of a modern and hedonistic variant of religion, Russell Nachman‘s make-up wearing Metal-head angels self-indulge into pleasant stupor. Entitled “Palimpsests” (something reused or altered but still bearing visible traces of its earlier form), these demi-gods of partying blend classical stylings (check the gold leaf!!) with booze, cigs, and black magic of the modern day.
